About Program: The Accounting and Tax Applications Associate Degree Program aims to train intermediate personnel who can take on responsibilities in the accounting departments of businesses and the accounting services of public institutions and organizations, who can open and operate their own workplace after meeting the conditions specified by law, and who can work in accounting offices. and become candidates for professions in line with the Certified Public Accountant and Sworn Financial Advisor Law. To this end, it prepares students for the profession and ensures they acquire the necessary knowledge.
Program Objective: As in every profession, the program aims to train accounting assistants for professional accountants who are knowledgeable, well-equipped, familiar with regulations, capable of using accounting information and software systems, possess international-level foreign language skills, and are highly committed to accounting professional ethics.
Internship: In order to provide students with the ability to apply their theoretical knowledge in the workplace, internships are carried out in accordance with the Balıkesir University Internship Guidelines. The internship is 30 working days and a total of 8 ECTS credits during the summer period when there is no education or training. Students can complete their internships in accounting firms, small and medium-sized enterprises, and accounting departments under the supervision and control of accounting professionals.
Employment Opportunities: Graduates of the Accounting and Taxation Program can work as assistants in Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Accountant offices; they can also find employment in the accounting and finance departments of public and private sector businesses. Our program graduates can open and operate their own businesses under their own names after meeting the conditions specified in the Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Accountant Law.
